While the overall album thrashes about in true Slayer fashion, it doesn’t add anything new or overtly exciting to their larger discography.

The ____hours occupation of Kerr Hall came to a peaceful end early Sunday morning. Students provided the administration with a list of demands they wished to be met, including freezing all layoffs to campus employees. None of their demands were left. A copy of a contract guaranteeing that no occupants would be arrested if they left the premises peacefully was obtained by City on a Hill Press. So far no arrests have been made.

SANTA CRUZ, CA – At approximately 7:00am, a number of police have arrived on-scene at the Kerr Hall occupation. No police have entered the building at this time.

Occupants in Kerr Hall expanded their space last night after deciding to break into the Chancellor’s area of the floor. The building has several corridors that have automatic lock down and cannot be accessed without a code.

The chants and stomping of demonstrators against fee hikes reverberated off the cement walls of a Kerr Hall stairwell as approximately 150 students filed into the building that houses high-level UCSC administrators, including Chancellor George Blumenthal and Executive Vice Chancellor David Kliger.

Regents pass 32.5% student fee hike. Protests throughout the UC system continue.

The windows of the Covel Commons building pounded in sync with the impassioned chanting of the crowd. Inside, 26 individuals pondered a decision that will deeply impact the lives of over two hundred thousand students in the UC system. The indirect results of the decision may ultimately affect millions of Californians.

The UC Board of Regents’ Committee of Finance passed two undergraduate educational fee increases — a 15 percent mid-year increase which will take effect in January, coupled with another 15 percent increase for the 2010-2011 school year.
