Its awesome to see how much parkour in Santa Cruz has changed since I moved away. Me and some of my friends had a Santa Cruz team as well, we hosted a few jams at UCSC as well, but this was a few years ago. We even trained with Brian Orosco, who is now on Team Tempest and was even on the tonight show! Me and my friends used to take gymnastics classes at Santa Cruz sports central because there was no parkour classes available, but we would try to do as much parkour training as we could. We even went to Vernons gym once right when it opened up, he probly still remembers us from when he worked at scsc from all our "non gymnastics" haha. Our most recent video is on YouTube as "Santa Cruz freerunning 2009" that doesn't seem like that long ago... I'm happy it sounds like things are really picking up in Santa cruz, and hopefully next time I come visit I can catch one of these jams... ill be the one wearing the old Santa Cruz parkour tshirt!
