Opponents of Proposition 8 are finally getting their day in court. This promises to be one of the most important trials of the millennium, determining whether or not queer people can get married in the United States. The judge in the case ruled Jan. 6 that cameras were allowed in the courtroom and the footage could be broadcast on YouTube, but the U.S. Supreme Court blocked all cameras on Wednesday. When we need transparency and accuracy more than ever, cameras need to be in the courtroom to capture and stream every moment of this historic trial.
