The Santa Cruz Warriors have been tearing up the league since they opened their home court on December 23rd. One Big reason is the use of advanced basketball analytics in Kirk Lacob’s decisions, which are part of a new way to see the old game.

While Oakes College may be situated on the outskirts of the UC Santa Cruz campus, it continues to serve as a center for both a source of support and place of community for underserved and underrepresented students. A discussion held on April 27 during Alumni Weekend events reminded staff, faculty, students and alumni why the legacy of Oakes continues to live on at UC Santa Cruz.
