In the most recent chapter of local medical marijuana regulation, Santa Cruz county has implemented a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries. While the County has a history of supporting “compassionate use” of medical marijuana, they are taking the advice of county counsel to prevent legal action from the federal government.
