Men’s Water Polo Makes Notable Progress During League Play
The men’s water polo team did a 180 last weekend. Going into their tournament with a 1-3 record, the Slugs went 3-1 to turn their season around, leading them to the league championship.
Cross Country Teams Maintain Strong Run
Men’s and women’s cross country head coach Aaron Jacobsen knows it mostly doesn’t matter how well his runners perform until November. While trophies and personal records may track the team’s progress, they are ultimately building up toward one meet, the NCAA West Regionals, which will determine whether the Slugs qualify to participate in the NCAA Championships.
Women’s Volleyball Slams UC Merced 3-0
UC Santa Cruz women’s volleyball swept UC Merced 25-14, 25-17 and 25-17 at home on Sept. 28. The Slugs improved to 14-3 with the win and extended their win streak to six games in their second home game of the season.
Men’s and Women’s Soccer Season Nears End
While fall classes may have just begun for students, the soccer season for both the men and women Slugs is well underway. With their respective seasons starting back in August, Slug soccer is looking to finish their seasons strong.
